Be Well Beet-nana Split Smoothie

Looking for a delicious way to add more fruits and vegetables into your daily diet? Try my amazing Beet-nana Split Smoothie! It’s allergy-friendly (gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free), vegan (if you use plant-based milk), and packed with vitamins and minerals.


Why it’s healthy:

  • No added or artificial sweeteners

  • Low in saturated fat

  • Packed with vitamin C, folate, vitamin B6, iron, calcium, potassium, and fiber

Why it tastes great:

  • Fresh strawberries

  • Bananas

  • Cacao…enough said!

Recipe:

(Yields 1 smoothie, approximately 285 calories*)

  • 1 cup of your favorite plant-based milk (I use unsweetened almond or oat milk)

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries

  • 1/2 cup packed raw spinach leaves

  • 1 heaping tablespoon of organic cacao powder (I like Navitas Organics Cacao Powder)

  • 1 teaspoon beet root powder


Add all ingredients to a blender, blend until thoroughly combined, pour and enjoy!

For additional protein you can add some natural peanut or almond butter or your favorite protein powder!
