For those of you who don't know my story, I’m a career changer and my journey into health coaching stemmed from my own personal health issues. Back in 2018, I had a health scare that prompted me to make some significant dietary changes. In a short period of time I felt so much better that I thought to myself "I need to learn more about nutrition." So, I enrolled in a Master’s program in Nutrition Education at American University, and about halfway through that program I decided I wanted to leave my former career and pursue health coaching so that I could not only share what I was learning in school, but also what I learned through my own personal experience. From there I got certified as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and then rounded out my expertise with a Personal Training certification.
As a health coach, my passion is working with women, specifically moms, who often spend so much time taking care of everyone around them, that they put their own well-being on the backburner. As a mom of two, who has also been very career driven, I get it and I learned the hard way by ignoring some warning signs and burning myself out. Now I understand the importance of prioritizing my own well-being, both physically and mentally, which helps me be a better mom, wife, friend, and coach. My mission is to help other busy moms do the same. To make time for themselves, every day.
